We were lucky enough to go to 100% Design in London last week. We had some lovely conversations, got loads of inspiration and came back to Bristol with our heads buzzing with great ideas! There was so many great desings to take in but we wanted to share our highlights:
We were stunned by the gorgeous industrial lighting by Industville! The Edison filament light bulbs alongside brass, pewter and copper pendant lights made for a visual feast for the industrial connoisseur.
Mullan, an Irish-based lighting design company, specialise in lighting with vintage character. Their unique and clever designs definitely caught our eye!
Following the geometric craze, Solid Soul Design had minimalist furniture with subtle patterns. We loved the way they combined function and style!
The Concept Kitchen by Naber was definitely inspirational! The modular kitchen with its clever design solutions seemed on point with the trend of freestanding kitchens.
Here are the top 3 trends we spotted at 100% Design:
- Surface texture. Design has become extra tactile as of late. From decor to worktops more and more surfaces are being designed with touch in mind.
- Distressed wood. With the vintage look taking over all aspects of design we saw distressed wood was especially popular in furniture.
- Soft colours. Although pastels never went out of fashion we are seeing a resurgence in their popularity. Coupled with light wood and geometric patterns this trend looks clean and minimalist.
