An industrial kitchen in Bath

by Sam Shaw

When we fitted out our industrial showroom with a very industrial kitchen complete with scaffold plank flooring, copper lighting, concrete worktops and Downpipe units we were trying to compliment the flavour of the building, but we always knew how this style of kitchen could work in any number of different settings. Well testament to that theory is this 1st floor apartment in central Bath.

This is a tiny room so it was crying out for a very bespoke kitchen with taller than average units to make best use of the high Georgian ceilings, narrower frames to fit in a plethora of appliances and some clever storage solutions. The reclaimed parquet tiles laid in a herringbone pattern sit beautifully against the Downpipe units and black granite worktops bringing together a mixture of styles and eras in a wonderful cohesion.
