Bench joinery apprenticeship – Join our Team

by Sam Shaw

Having enjoyed fantastic success and growth again throughout the last year we now have a position available for a bright and enthusiastic young person to join our friendly and growing team on a joinery apprenticeship.

We began our apprenticeship program 2 years ago when Patrick joined our small workshop team, a year later Izzy breezed into our lives to take on the apprenticeship batten.  Both Pat and Izzy have now become so central and vital to our workshop team, the beating heart of our company, and now we have a new position available for 2015.

We build kitchens and cabinets that are completely bespoke and built with natural and traditional materials, whilst we do have large machinery much of the work is done by hand.  As an apprentice and then as one of our trained bench joiners you would be helping to make traditional carcasses, drawer boxes, frames, doors and a myriad of other bits and pieces from wood using a selection of hand and power tools as well as operating some of the larger machines including saws, moulders and sanders.

If you are aged between 16 and 24, have a passion for woodwork and an eagerness to learn then please get in touch via email to sam@sustainablekitchens.co.uk
