Our man with the lens

by Sam Shaw

Charlie – (co-director and our man on site) has had photography spree lately so we are very excited about being able to show off some of our recent jobs and get some lovely new images onto the recent projects page – keep a look out, a new Bath kitchen was uploaded last week! Charlie is responsible for all of our amazing photographs, a photographer on the side (he’s spent many a weekend photographing bands and DJ’s at festivals – he’s not just a pretty carpenter face) He goes into our clients homes at their convenience and takes our portfolio shots which populate the website and makes our digital portfolio on the iPad complete. At it wood work we decided a long time ago to avoid printing anything unnecessarily, be sustainable in every way possible, so where ever possible we use digital media to present our work to clients, and if we are all really honest – and I suspect this particularly applies to charlie – we do love playing with our iPad!

ImageCharlie gave me a few snap shots to wet our appetite, this lovely image of a recent Bath kitchen show’s off Charlie’s photography skills particularly well I think, and does a good job of demonstrating it woodworks aim to create hand built furniture and kitchens that are a fine mix of the traditional and the contemporary. Similarly have a look at this lovely somerset shaker kitchen which uses multiple woods – maple, cherry, steamed beech, walnut, oak, ash – lovely.

Keep a look out for more Charlie snaps on the blog, Facebook and our main website, but thanks to our man with the lens!
