Reclaimed, unusual and contemporary kitchens
There is no right and wrong way to design a kitchen, so long as it is both functional and attractive, then the rest is purely imagination, after all what is a kitchen other than somewhere to prepare and cook your food? We relish the opportunity to blend super modern materials with whatever your local reclamation yard provides. Reuse, recycle and redesign.
If you see something old and a bit tired but inherently beautiful then why not give it a new life in your kitchen. Old doors can be resized and rejuvenated, old dresser bases and shelving cabinets can we reworked into new kitchen cabinetry and slabs of stone, slate or metal can all be incorporated and made to look fresh and unique. We once hung a 300 year old French cart from a ceiling above a centre Island and what seemed mad to start with became one of the most practical solutions for hanging utensils and herbs.
There are a huge range of modern materials such as bamboo, engineered stone, recycled glass and plastics, stainless steel and stunning veneers to name a few that can all look great in your kitchen as well as providing a sustainable and cost effective alternative. If you have something in mind or would like us to throw you some ideas then please contact us.
