Recycle your kitchen sink

by Sam Shaw

IMG_20140315_152034When planning a new project, whatever your budget,

it is always a good idea to reuse or recycle whatever you can

from what is already there. It is all too easy to simply throw everything out and start again from scratch but look closely at what you have and you will probably see that given a bit of a clean or a lick of paint your old scrap can look like new.
Ruth and Tim have approached us for a new kitchen in their barn conversion in UK, still more a barn than a house at this point, but they found this old Belfast sink on the grounds. This would make a perfect planter for the garden or a small play pond for the children, perhaps even a scrub basin for cleaning your motorbike parts in the garage. These are all nice ideas but we are going to give this old sink another shot at cleaning the dishes in the kitchen.
