Homemade Chamomile Tea Recipe
Collect fresh chamomile flowers, preferably in the morning before the dew has washed off.
Discard any rotten or damaged buds
Preheat oven to 160 degrees.
Soak the chamomile flowers in a bowl of water for half an hour.
Once the oven is warmed place the flowers on a tray and put in the oven to dry.
The flowers should dry out but not burn. If the flowers are blackening then turn the oven down or off until cool. If the flowers still aren’t dry after the oven is cool, turn back on and repeat the process until all of the flowers are completely dried.
Store the dried flowers in an air-tight jar, they will last for up to 6 months.
When ready to use place in a tea strainer and steep in boiling water for between 2-5 mins.
