Contemporary Grey Industrial Kitchen

This stylish, contemporary, flat panel kitchen forms part of an open plan kitchen, dining and living space in a full house renovation.

Contemporary grey industrial kitchen with boot room storage and coat hooks

Contemporary Grey Industrial Kitchen – The Brief

The desired aesthetic was for a contemporary, industrial look which echoed the rest of the house design. This was cleverly achieved by combining cabinets painted in Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone with a stainless steel wrapped appliance housing, which incorporates ovens and integrated fridge. Arenastone Grigio Concreto was chosen for the worktops providing the look of concrete but in a more durable material, building on the industrial theme.

The large central island incorporates a breakfast bar along with drawer and cupboard storage, tray and chopping board slots,  wine fridge and induction hob. A lye finish was used on the oak interior of the breakfast bar, echoing the grey of the cabinets. A large ceiling mounted extractor was built into a housing.

A walk-in pantry with drawers and floating shelving also finished in lye, was cleverly concealed behind a pocket sliding door, maximising storage for this busy family home.

A boot room lies off the kitchen, providing further additional storage, with cupboards, open shelving, shoe storage and a concealed storage bench seat. Iron coat hooks on a lye treated board, provide lots of coat hanging space.

Our clients are enjoying their kitchen and will feedback soon
