As our designers got to know the Georgian townhouse’s individual quirks, they were able to make full-use of them. We noticed that there was a space where a fireplace used to be, and turned it into a conveniently-positioned drainer area to sit behind the double Belfast-style ceramic sink. Double copper dish racks finish off the look of this particular nook of the kitchen, while also providing practicality for everyday use.
Floating oak shelves make the most of the alcove space, providing exposed storage for our client’s collection of ornaments and cookbooks.
We opted for Arenastone Quartz worktops in Bianco Nuvolo to provide a show-stopping contrast with the dark blue cabinetry.
The large central island, with an oiled oak worktop, holds the two ovens and induction hob, while also providing a large breakfast bar area on two sides.
The dining area is zoned off from the kitchen space by a step-down. We worked with our client to select different flooring to create a cosy eating and seating area with comfy grey armchairs looking out onto the garden through bifold doors.
