DARK BLUE GEOMETRIC KITCHEN
We stay in touch with all our clients after we finish a kitchen project. Two years after her installation was complete, this client emailed us to say:
“Our kitchen is still looking beautiful, by the way. We all absolutely love it. One of the kids said the other day that he thinks we have the nicest kitchen in the whole world. I agree!”
And it’s no wonder: with a geometric Bert & May tiled wall, Arabescato Corcia marble worktop and a hidden yellow larder interior, this dark blue Shaker kitchen is full of surprises.
Dark Blue Geometric Shaker Kitchen – The Brief
Impact matters. When our client came to us, they wanted to create a stylish, unique kitchen space that packed a visual punch.
We chose Bert & May Majadas, encaustic tiles that provide a geometric, yet homely vibe. Playing around with different options, we decided a floating oak shelf separating the tiles from the painted wall provided the perfect visual balance.
The cabinetry houses a Shaker double ceramic sink, with counter-top half larders providing storage beautifully.
Scroll through the photos to inspect the full height run of cabinets: we’ve incorporated double ovens, a fridge-freezer, and a double larder. Open those larder doors and you’ll see a stunning interior, hand-painted in Farrow & Ball’s Babouche. Internal spice racks have been painted to match the carcasses. We even topped an internal larder drawer with Arabescato Corcia marble.
The large island unit houses the induction hob, dishwasher and plenty of storage. Two sets of wide double cupboards form the breakfast bar with an overhanging worktop in the aforementioned Arabescato Corcia marble. Triple pendant lights in a gold finish hang above the island, providing task lighting and pulling the whole look together.
