National Vegetarian Week – Our top tips for a veggie feast in Bristol

by Nicky Spear

This year National Vegetarian week is running from the 14th – 20th of May and that means there are lots of opportunities to try a different or new restaurant or your hand at a new recipe or two. Wriggle Bristol has so many veggie deals on that you will struggle to choose, though one of my personal favourites is 1847. We are very lucky in Bristol to have so many great restaurants that excel in vegetarian cooking and I would recommend a visit to the following places based on our experiences.

Great vegan & vegetarian pizza – Old Market Assembly, Bertha’s Pizza

Fine Dining & Small Plates- 1847,  Flow Bristol

As well as these veggie recommendations, this month Bristol is to be paid a visit from Vegfest UK. Taking place at Ashton Gate on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May, this all out vegan extravaganza combines vegan food with talks, cookery demos,  local DJ’s, acoustic acts, magicians and comedians to name but a few. An event not to be missed if you want to enjoy a day of plant-based foods and frolics. Check out their website for more details and have a take a look at the food caterers below.
